Sliding in Slipper Socks + Shrugging

I signed my contract for the book deal today. I only understood about 1 word in 10.

No, I understood all of the words, but not in the order they were put. In which the said words were put. In which, with due prominence, understanding not unreasonably delayed or withheld, they were put.

Very long sentences.

I had two feelings when reading this. Feeling number one was excitement. I was wearing new slipper socks. I have a hard wooden floor. I did some celebratory sliding.

Feeling number two was confusion. I shrugged. I have an agent who will sort all that out. So it is all right for me to not quite understand what it all means.

The new title of my novel is ‘the said work’.
